Am I too old to believe
Am I too blind to see
Where's the God of Miracles
Told in Bible Stories?
Have I grown out of it
Is my faith not strong enough
Where's the God of Miracles
To tell me it's not fluff?
If Faith can move mountains
And Grace move knees to bend
Where's Your Love
To help me comprehend?
Is my mind too cluttered
Is my spirit deceived?
Somewhere between my soul and mind,
I still choose to believe.
That Faith can move mountains
And I'm not too old to trust
That You're the God of Miracles
And Your love will outlast.

Little One
I know the stars will light your way
Each and every single day
Because they won't want you to stray
Stray away.
You know you needn't be afraid
Of the mean little words they said
You can stay here safe in bed
Instead.
Relax, your little hands
Keep still, your little feet
One day you'll learn to stand
There's no need to rush to it.
Hold on, don't grow so fast
There's no going back you know
Soon, all this will be the past
And you'll wish that it was slow.
Little one; little one
Don't chase the sun.
One day soon you will know
That there'll be rain as well as snow
Through all this you'll learn to grow
Hello.
So relax, your little hands
Keep still, your little feet
One day you'll learn to stand
There's no need to rush to it.
Hold on, don't grow so fast
There's no going back you know
Soon, all this will be the past
And you'll wish that it was slow.
Little one; little one
Don't chase the sun.
There's plenty of time to talk about the world and all it's problems
But a time will come where you and I must try to solve them
Little one; little one
Don't chase the sun.
Each and every single day
Because they won't want you to stray
Stray away.
You know you needn't be afraid
Of the mean little words they said
You can stay here safe in bed

You Are More
You are more More than the past you've left behind More than the battle in your mind More than the future that is ahead You are more than that More than the struggle of choosing More than the pain you're bracing More than the nagging behind your back You are more than that You are more than the words that they say you are You are more than the voice saying, "you can't get far." You are more than a ship stuck on the shore You are more; you are more You are more than the piece that wants to fit in You are more than what this world is saying You are more than that let them here you roar "You are more; You are more." More than the clothes on your skin More than the face on the magazine More than the cash that you spat You are more than that You are capable, admirable, talented and strong You have a home where you belong You are beautiful, in every way. You are more So don't let them hurt you anymore.

Fact or Fiction - Theme Song
Verse I
I miss you so
I miss your smile
I miss the way you
hold your hair
And twirl it round
and round
I miss you so
Verse II
I miss those nights
I miss your warmth
I miss those days
when we could talk
And go on for so
long
I miss you so
Pre-Chorus
It's nights like
these that's got me thinking
It's nights like
these I'm reminiscing
Chorus
Were we fact or were
we fiction
Could what we both
dream come to fruition
Were we living as
one
Before we said that
we were done
Was it love or
infatuation
Were we young and in
delusion
Time has come and
slowly shown..
That 'what ifs'
could never be known
Verse III
Remember how
We talked about
How we'll build our
dreams
Upon our sacred
ground
We were so young
Bridge
And we lose
ourselves into the fact
That happily ever
afters were just that
They were hope
shared to our lost souls
A rope so we won't
let hope go
The chance that
there's somebody
Like me
Chorus II
Are we fact or are
we fiction
Could what we both
dream come to fruition
Can we try to live
as one
Before we say that
there's no chance
Is it love or
infatuation
Let's be young and
in delusion
Let time come and
slowly show..
The 'what ifs' that
we're yet to know.
Bridge II
Let us lose
ourselves to the fact
That nothing in this
world is truly set
That we have a
choice to accept
Or hold on to what
is left
The chance that there's somebody
for me

The Cry and His Reply
One man raises his voice to the hills
Another man humbles himself and kneels
Still one more throws his fist in the air
One man asks, "Show Yourself, if you care."
One more begs aloud to be heard
One more mourns and shaves his beard
One more cries 'til tomorrow's dawn
Another man sings a heavenly song
One man slams the keys and shouts,
"Lord, please chase away my doubts!"
One man takes on more than he can chew,
To silence the pain that's in me and you.
One man wears a smiling face
Thinking that with it he can erase
The hurt, the fears, and uncertainties.
But they flood back like rushing seas
One son asks where is his dad
Where's the one to teach him good from bad.
He doubts he'll find a father's love
Neither on this earth nor high above.
One selfless mother prays with tears
That God would drive away her fears
As her little one lies in a hospital bed
She pleads, "God, can you take me instead?"
One little daughter sings in church
About the One on high she has researched
She's not too sure of the words she hums
She's not too sure of the chords she strums.
All their cries fill up the sky
And they all start to question why
Why does He stay silent in the clouds
When His voice is supposed to be thunder-loud?
Why is He hidden in the heavens
When it can't contain His presence?
And between their cry and His reply
Rose a silent song from High
And they knew it was from Him
Though they knew not the words to the hymn
Between their cry and His reply
The earth as if stood by
And He did not shout His answer
It came in a soft and gentle whisper.
Another man humbles himself and kneels
Still one more throws his fist in the air
One man asks, "Show Yourself, if you care."
One more begs aloud to be heard
One more mourns and shaves his beard
One more cries 'til tomorrow's dawn
Another man sings a heavenly song

He said, "Fear not you aching hearts,
For I have seen you from the start.
Steer your weary souls to Me
And I will give you liberty.
"Fret not, for I am here
For I have always been so near.
I've heard your songs; I've heard your pleas.
I've heard your chords; I've heard your keys.
"The mother's cry; The father's sigh
Not one of them has passed me by.
The little ones' pleas; the man on his knees.
No, not one, I did not see."
Between the cry and His reply
The earth as if stood by
And peace came in and cleared the drought
And it eased the heart and cleared the doubts.

Christmas Cheer
In twenty minutes, Christmas will be here.
In twenty minutes, comes 24 hours of cheer.
Get ready your smile, get ready your mood
For the meaning of tomorrow is well understood
Forget about your worries, put them all aside
Leave away your doubts, let your fears go to hide
Forget about the turmoil, forget about the strife
Forget about your starving neighbor, forget the lost of life
Forget about the oppression, forget about regret
For the reason for the season, is the chance to forget.
Put on your happy face, just for today.
Tomorrow you can return to reality's grey.
Put on your Christmas cheer and pretend everything's okay.
Put on your hymns and songs just for this auspicious day.
Just for today, we celebrate the Lord's birth
Just for today, we remember He came to Earth
Just for today, we shall sing of His saving grace
But when tomorrow comes, we shall return to our place.
Remember the Son and all that He did
In twenty minutes, comes 24 hours of cheer.
Remember the Son and all that He did
Remember His birth and his great deed
Remember He came to save all mankind
But tomorrow return to the world of the blind.
If Christ was born to save us from death
Should we not do more than set up a wreath?
If Christ was born to set us free
Should we not do more than set up a tree?
Should we not do more than set up a tree?
If Christ was born to prepare us a way
Should we not do more than give Him one day?
So...
In twenty minutes, Christmas will be here.
In twenty minutes, comes 24 hours of cheer.
Get ready your smile, get ready your mood
But is the meaning of Christmas well understood?
In twenty minutes, Christmas will be here.
In twenty minutes, comes 24 hours of cheer.
Get ready your smile, get ready your mood
But is the meaning of Christmas well understood?

Colorblind
Let not the words of divide,
Cause us to stand on our pride
Let not the actions of a few
Become hatred's burning fuel
Cause us to stand on our pride
Let not the actions of a few
Become hatred's burning fuel
Let not the color of our skin,
Make the nation fight within
Let not the intentions of scheming men,
Cause us to fight our fellow friend
Let us stand united as living proof
That we can all live under one roof
Let us learn to put all these behind,
Let us learn to be colorblind.
Let us stand united as living proof
That we can all live under one roof
Let us learn to put all these behind,
Let us learn to be colorblind.

Still You Forgive
Verse 1:
Another Sunday morning
The congregation's singing
My hands are raised to the sky
To praise the God on High
But with these same hands I raise
Do I worship with all my days
Or is this just for the weekends
I lift my empty...
Chorus:
How can I stand among the Chosen
And eat with the Redeemed
When the shame has overridden
And the guild cannot be dimmed?
How can I walk among Your people
When my faith and work don't tally?
Oh, Lord, my life is but a ripple
Will You come and rescue me?
Will You come and rescue me?
Will You come and rescue me?
Verse 2:
You know my walk is broken
You know what I've forsaken
And though my knees break down before You
Why do I fail my follow through?
Bridge:
Still You forgive
Still You forgive
Still You forgive
And for You I will live

I am Glad to be Count Among the Blessed
I am glad to be count among the blessed
I rejoice to stand in His righteousness
For God's love is so great
That He choose to clean my slate
I am glad to be count among the blessed
I am glad to be count among the saved
Made able because He rose from the grave
What great an act of love
That God would leave His throne from above
I am glad to be count among the saved
I am glad to be count among His sheep
To have my sins laid down at His feet
To be wholly set apart
To be changed completely from the heart
I am glad to be count among His sheep
What love is this?
This love of His
He gave His own, to buy my release
He gave His life
To end my strife
He saved my soul from sin's deadly knife
I am glad to be count among the called
I'll carry my yoke and not be appalled
Sand me I will go
Where You'll lead me, I will follow
I am glad to be count among the called

More than a Legacy
A path has been set; a course set in motion,
A paving of the way into the vastness of the ocean
From one generation to the next; from man to son
The hammering of the stone as its flashes sung.
Next to a brother and a sister; next to the multitudes of humans
Between expectations and freedom; maturity and innocence,
A space of peace and rest – of sweet quietness
With the noises of the people before us – their whispers
turn to shout
With the plea from those behind us – their lips move about
Each day is planted from the start; each day is set in stone
For time is no man’s friend, and waits for none alone.
How can we take our daily steps if not for those before?
For if they hadn’t did what they did, how could we endure
The sweat of the brows of history-men is buried in our soil
It is their sacrifice that saved us all from the death and toil
How can we choose to leave this land when we were indeed so
blind?
How can we choose to walk away and leave those left behind?
Weren't we purposed for something more than rummaging what
we see?
Weren't we meant for something great that will leave a
legacy?
Heroes of the past have gone before us and the future lies
ahead
Now we ask what we’ll leave behind when we are also dead
Can we say with heads held high that we have done all we
could
Or hide in shame and guilt when all we did was stood.
Is there a point for finding treasure when life is wasted
away?
Is there a point to mining gold when a child can’t see the
light of day?
Is there a need for fancy toys and energy that we spend?
Is there a need to scorch the trees when it itself can’t
defend?
We can’t turn back what’s done; time waits for not even one
But we can make a change and leave something to our sons
What is an inheritance of notes when there’s nothing left to
buy?
What is an heirloom of stones when the people need to die?
The question remains of what we leave for those who come
after
A happy home of joyous sounds with the air full of laughter
Or a future filled with nothing more than cloudy disaster.
What are we leaving to those behind, what will they open their
eyes to see?
That what we left behind for them is much more than a legacy.
As the nation stands in shifting soil and the cries of change are heard
Are we answering the call to move our feet and face this coming flood?
Do we dare to stand our ground and stand with heads held high
Or do we waste the blood of the history-men and let their legacy die?
A call to vote is a call for the future, and it is here you must make your stand
Do we hide in our homes afraid of it or do we stand strong hand-in-hand
The past remains the past, let us now look on to our future
Let us choose and make our mark on who would lead the next chapter
Let not the fear of oppression and the likes bar you from your way
Let not the seed of empty promises lead your path away
Let not the people of power turn your mind with amazing delights
Let not the sounds of riots make you throw away your rights
What are we leaving to those behind, what will they open their eyes to see?
That what we left behind for them is much more than a legacy.

Journey's Mercies
Few days from now, you’re moving on
Flying off into the horizon
Off to experience a whole new world
With new things to see; new things to learn.
I guess I wish you the best
May God grant you peace
And when you’re overwhelmed
May He grant you release.
May the grace of His love
And the blessings from His hands
Help you to find
His great gift of friends
Those that He’s given
And those that He’ll send.
When you’re settled down, please don’t forget me
Let me know you’re safe and sound
Let me know that you are happy
Seek me out when you feel down.

Limbo
I had my life worked out; I had it planned to the end
I had no worries, no doubts; nothing I couldn’t understand
But you had to come with your beautiful smile
And throw a stone into my plans
And now I’m stuck in limbo
And I don’t know where to go
You could have made it easy
But you didn’t make it so
So am I chasing rainbows or chasing blue moons
Can we be together in this crowded big balloon?
My heart is a mess but you hold the key
Are you gonna try to fix it or just let it be?
I’m here in the crossroads and I’m running out of time
Should I let you go or make you mine?
Can you open your mind and show me a sign?
You threw in a spanner, and my heart skipped a beat
You lit up a fire and cranked up the heat
But your words are vague but leave me speechless
How do you pull of such a feat?

Letting Go - Theme Song
Verse I
Prechorus
p.s. This song was written specifically for a female lead for the backing track for a script which can be found here http://pioneerinspired.blogspot.com/2012/09/letting-go_8.html.
I know it’s hard
I know it hurts you
I know what you’re feeling
I know the pain is true
But you can’t change the past,
No, you couldn’t forecast
What happened has happened and you got to learn
Chorus
Letting go is never easy
I know you won’t forget me
But you have to be strong
And start moving on
For me
Letting go is never easy.
Verse II
I’m sorry
We planned so
much together
I’m so sorry
That I left
you in the weather
Bridge
Promise me,
that you won’t blame yourself for this.
Promise me,
that you won’t stay stuck in this abyss
Promise me,
that you’ll learn to let go and move on with your life
And when the
time comes you’ll find yourself a wife

Back to You
Verse 1
How often have I fallen
How often have You picked me up
How often have I let you down
How often have You refilled my cup
Verse 2
How often have I left you
How often have You accepted me back
How often have I failed you
How often have You showed me my track
Pre-chorus
And here I am again I’m lost
I’m reminded of my dept, the cost
Chorus
That it took a life to set me free
And what am I doing with this liberty
Wasting away with earthly schemes
Wasting away on worldly dreams
Oh God, bring me back to You
Verse 3
How often have I ran
How often have You waited for me
How often have I sinned
How often have You forgiven me
Bridge
Bring me back to the time when I first found you
Bring me back to the place when Your love was true
Oh God, bring me back to You

What Could Have Been
Verse 1
It’s said that stick and stones may break our bones, but
words will never hurt.
With lies that were said, a price was paid and left me in
the dirt
Regrets and mistakes, pain and heartaches, are all I’ve left
to feel
The love of the past that did not last is all I’ve left of
you
Out of the pouring rain; you walked away
Out of my broken heart; I prayed you’d stay
But you never did and never will
The days have passed and I still believe
That what we had was the real thing
Instead of moving on I’m caught up in what could have been
It hurts my heart to know that this part did not have to be
this way
It hurts my soul because I don’t know why we grew away
Of all the days I’ve missed your face, again the thoughts of
you begin
Instead of moving on I’m going on about what could have been

Makes me Fall for You
Chorus
E A B
It's your smile that makes it all worthwhile
C#m A F# B
It's the little things you say that takes my breath away
It's your eyes that make the greatest prize
It's the little things you do that makes me
B E
That makes me fall for you
Verse 1
E A
Who would have known when we first met
E B
That this would go to where it's at
A E F# B C#m
Not me that's for sure, I never thought you'd give me a second glace
A E F# B
And how glad was I that day when you gave me a chance
Pre-chorus
A E
I know you don't believe me
A B
But what I say is true to me
I know you doubt your beauty
I don't know why you can't see
Verse 2
So here we are we've gone so far
And I pray we'll go further than the stars
Because I don't plan to lose you, with every breath and everything I hold
Because I've finally found you, I've never felt so bold
A bridge might be added if I'm inspired again.

Catch Your Breath
Verse II
It seems like the world is moving
too fast
It seems what we have made is not
made to last.
Everyone is rushing and running
today
It seems like we’re rushing and
running away.
So can we take this slow?
I want to know.
Cause the world keeps on forcing
itself on us
But I want to keep you first
Chorus
So catch your breath
Take your time
I can wait
For you tonight
There’s no need to rush
There’s no need to shout….hush
Let’s enjoy what we have
And catch your breath.
We have time to make this bloom
Into something above the tomb
Of broken hearts and broken
dreams
‘Perfect’ may not be what it seems
Bridge
No matter what the miles between
us; no matter what the pain
No matter what the trials before
us; no matter what the rain
No matter what the time it takes
us; no matter who’s to blame
No matter what the past behind
us; to me it’s not a game
Dedicated to the one who is waiting for me

Lines from my Darkest Week
There’s a cry in my heart for a meaning to live
There’s a hole in my chest searching out for relief.
Where can I find a peace in my mind,
When all that I think about is what’s behind?
The emotions are great and I hesitate.
The fear is real and I’m scared to fail.
The pressure inside finds no place to hide
And I’m left alone, exposed and prone.
I’ve been the giver; I’ve been the taker
I’ve been the seeker for the right answer
But where can I search for something unseen?
But where can I look for something within?
Who am I to the world outside?
I feel like I am standing in a divide.
An in-betweener; a man without a cause,
Who’s searching for meaning and has no time to pause.
Everyone has a place; of such, I was told.
But who can tell me mine? Come answer, ye bold!
Don’t tell me lies; or half-truths, be warned!
For I’ve been deceived; I have been faced with scorned.
Where do I belong? Are there many who sing this song?
Alone in the midst of the crowd; invisible to the faint and
loud
Are there others like me; in this same misery?
Do I have brothers or sisters to call; when I begin to fall?

What We are For
We have been dead for far too long
The enemy's hand is for too strong
Break the chains
Let the Spirit reign
We can't remain in the past
It's time we change
Let's not be strange-ers
To the outcasts.
It's time the world knows what we are for
It's time to open up the door.
To our neighbors and friends
Let us lend them our hands.
Let's wash the feet
Of those in need
God, empower us all.
It's time the world knows what we are for.
Let us open our eyes to see
That people will not heed our plea
Unless our actions
Shows our passion
For the One who made us.
So let us be rid
Of our selfish seed
And be like Christ Jesus.

Stupid Kid
This is a poem about...me
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Stupid kid,
You thought you knew better.
Stupid kid,
But you just doused the fire.
You are dumb, your mind is numb to her voice.
This stubborn brain cannot remain your choice.
Stupid kid.
Stupid move,
You dug yourself a hole.
Stupid move,
You deserve the cold.
She was all that's right and in your sight, you stupid kid.
But now this game won't be the same; your rash-ful deed.
Stupid kid.
Stupid boy,
Your words can't be unsaid.
Stupid boy,
Get it in your head:
Girls like her do not appear so often.
So kick your selfish hide and leave your pride forgotten.
Stupid kid.
If you ever find it in your heart
To forgive this dumb nut.
He would do his best to fill
This hole he's made, til it's a hill.
Though the mound may still be there
And it still shows so clear and bare.
He hopes to make it up to you,
Please just tell him what to do...
Cause he's a stupid kid.
